Gatherings
Weekly critique circles for Taos artists.
Bring one work, listen closely, and help build a generous critique culture in northern New Mexico.
What to expect
A focused, welcoming room.
Gatherings are built around close looking, timed turns, and useful questions. Artists can bring finished work, work in progress, sketches, documentation, or a project question.
Before you arrive
- RSVP when a gathering is posted.
- Bring one work or come as an observer.
- Think of one question you want help with.
- Plan to support other artists' turns too.
Upcoming
No upcoming gatherings are published yet.
Join the newsletter to hear when the next critique circle is announced. You can also send a note if you have a space to host or a topic to suggest.
Past gatherings
Past gathering notes will appear here.
Once critique circles are published and dates pass, this section becomes a public rhythm of meetings, topics, and community memory.
Hosting a gathering
ARTaos can use small, accessible rooms with enough wall, table, or floor space for artists to show work. Galleries, libraries, studios, classrooms, cafés, and community rooms can all work.
Suggest a focus
Future gatherings can focus on portfolio review, artist statements, documenting work, pricing, framing, grant applications, show proposals, or a shared medium.
